Brands We Service

Every Major Garage Door and Opener Brand, Serviced Locally
Most garage door problems are mechanical and look similar from the outside — a door that will not lift, an opener that hums and stops, a gate that drags. What changes from brand to brand is the part inside. Spring sizing depends on the weight of that manufacturer’s sections. Counterbalance systems are not interchangeable. Every garage door opener brand uses its own rolling-code format, so a remote from one will not pair with another.
That is why we ask for the brand before we dispatch. Knowing whether you have a Wayne Dalton TorqueMaster or a conventional torsion shaft, or a LiftMaster Security+ 2.0 board rather than a Genie Intellicode board, decides which parts go on the truck. It is the difference between a single visit and a return trip.
We are based in Costa Mesa and cover Orange County, and we carry the parts that fit the brands that are actually installed here. Whatever the brand, the same faults come up — broken springs, frayed cables, and doors that have come off their track.

Garage Door Brands We Repair and Install
We work on every major garage door brand sold in Southern California. Below are the manufacturers we see most often in Orange County homes, and what usually needs attention on each one. If your brand is not on the list, call us anyway — the list covers what is common, not what is possible.
Do not see your brand? Call Right Choice Garage Door — these are the manufacturers we see most often, not the only ones we service.
Why the Brand of Your Garage Door Matters
Brand is not a detail on a work order. It determines which parts fit, how the door has to be balanced, and whether a repair keeps your manufacturer warranty intact. Here is where it makes a real difference.
If you are not sure what brand you have, do not guess. The wrong part can leave a door unbalanced or an opener that will not pair, and both cost more to put right than to diagnose properly the first time.
Tell us the brand and model and we will confirm what your repair needs before we dispatch. Call today for an inspection.
Garage Door Opener Brands We Service
Openers are where brand differences matter most. Each manufacturer uses its own rolling-code format, its own logic board and its own rail and carriage design, so a remote or a part from one brand will not simply drop into another. These are the opener brands we service across Orange County.
LiftMaster
LiftMaster is the professional, dealer-installed line from the Chamberlain Group and the opener we install most often. We service belt-drive, chain-drive and wall-mount jackshaft models such as the 8500, which mounts beside the door and frees up ceiling space. LiftMaster units use Security+ 2.0 rolling-code remotes, so a replacement remote has to match that format to pair. We also handle MyQ setup, logic-board replacement, travel and force limit adjustment, and safety-sensor repair.
Chamberlain
Chamberlain is the retail sibling of LiftMaster and is built on the same core platform, so most internal parts, gears and safety sensors carry across between the two. That usually means a faster repair and easier parts sourcing. Common issues we resolve are stripped drive gears, failed capacitors, misaligned photo-eye sensors and MyQ connectivity problems.
Genie
Genie is one of the most common openers on Orange County homes and comes in chain-drive, belt-drive and screw-drive versions. Screw-drive models need periodic lubrication with the correct grease, and running them dry is the fastest way to shorten their life. Genie uses Intellicode rolling-code remotes. We repair and replace circuit boards, carriage assemblies, limit switches, gears and safety sensors.
Craftsman
Craftsman openers were sold through Sears and are built on the Chamberlain platform, which is good news for repairs: many parts interchange directly even though the brand no longer has its own service network. We routinely bring older Craftsman units back to full function, and when a unit is past economical repair we will say so rather than sell you parts for a motor that is at the end of its life.
Linear
Linear makes both residential garage door openers and gate operators and is part of the Nice group. Their units use Megacode remotes and receivers. We service the drive assemblies, replace worn sprockets and gears, repair or replace control boards, and reprogram remotes and keypads after a board change.
Marantec
Marantec builds German-engineered belt-drive openers, including the Synergy series, and they are chosen mainly for how quiet they run — a real consideration when there is a bedroom over the garage. Parts are less common at general suppliers, so we identify the exact model before quoting. We service the drive belts, control boards, wall consoles and safety sensors.
SOMMER
SOMMER openers use a direct-drive design in which the motor itself travels along the rail rather than pulling the door with a separate chain or belt. There are fewer moving parts and the unit runs very quietly. Because the design is different from a conventional opener, diagnosis and part replacement follow a different procedure, which we handle directly.
Overhead Door
Overhead Door residential openers, including the Legacy, Odyssey and Destiny lines, share engineering with Genie and use CodeDodger rolling-code technology. That overlap keeps parts and remote sourcing practical. We repair and replace control boards, rail and carriage assemblies, limit and force settings, and safety sensors on all of these models.
Skylink
Skylink supplies budget openers plus a wide range of universal remotes, keypads and accessories that are often used to replace discontinued transmitters on other brands. We install and service Skylink units and use their universal accessories where a manufacturer remote is no longer produced, provided the rolling-code format is compatible.
Not sure which brand you have? The label is usually on the side or back of the motor housing, or on the inside of the light cover. Send us a photo or call and we will identify it for you.

Gate Opener Brands We Service
We service automatic gates as well as garage doors. Gate operators take far more abuse than a garage door opener — they sit outdoors in the weather, they move a much heavier leaf, and they are usually tied into loop detectors, keypads and telephone entry systems. These are the gate brands we work on.
LiftMaster Gate Operators
LiftMaster’s commercial gate line covers swing operators such as the LA400 and LA500, slide operators including the SL585 and SL595, and the CSW24U swing operator. They are common on residential estates and on gated communities across Orange County. We service the operators themselves plus the loop detectors, photo eyes, safety edges and control boards that go with them.
DoorKing (DKS)
DoorKing is one of the most widely installed gate brands in Southern California, covering both slide and swing operators and the 1800 and 1835 telephone entry systems that control access at community gates. We service the operators, the entry panels, the keypads and the programming, and we handle the safety devices required for a gate to operate legally and safely.
Ramset
Ramset builds swing and slide gate operators used on both residential and light commercial installations. We repair and replace their control boards, motors, limit switches and gearboxes, and we re-set travel limits after a repair so the gate stops where it should rather than driving into the post.
Viking Access
Viking Access makes electromechanical and hydraulic swing and slide operators built for heavier gates and higher duty cycles. Because they carry more weight, worn hinges, dragging wheels and a gate that is out of plumb will destroy an operator quickly. We diagnose the gate itself, not just the motor, before recommending a repair.
Elite
Elite gate operators, including the Q-series such as the Q201 swing and CSW200 slide models, come from the same family as LiftMaster, so many controls and accessories are shared. We service the operators, replace boards and motors, and reprogram receivers, remotes and keypads after a repair.
All-O-Matic
All-O-Matic is a Southern California manufacturer of swing and slide gate operators, which means parts availability is generally good and lead times are short. We service their operators, control boards, limit systems and drive components, and we test the safety reversal on every gate before we leave.
Gate operators are safety devices. Every repair we complete includes testing the reversal and the safety inputs before we hand the gate back to you.

Whatever brand is on your door, the fix should be done with the parts that brand was engineered for. That is the standard we hold ourselves to on every call.
Why Choose Right Choice Garage Door
We have worked on nearly every brand installed across Orange County, from builder-grade steel doors on tract homes to custom wood doors on the coast and heavy automatic gates on estate properties. That range matters, because brand-specific experience is what prevents the two most common bad outcomes: a technician forcing a universal part where it does not belong, or ordering the wrong component and leaving you without a working door for another week.
We identify the brand and model before we quote, we use manufacturer parts where the manufacturer requires them, and we tell you honestly when a verified-compatible part is the better value. Alongside repairs we also handle new garage door installation and scheduled maintenance on any of these brands, plus commercial doors. We are licensed and insured, based in Costa Mesa, and available 24/7 for emergencies.
